Still hiding behind his moniker it’s still a bit of a secret who the musician behind “Dubesque” is. But with his latest collabs it’s not hard to understand that this young buck definitely knows what proper housemusic is all about – aside from all the EDM stuff going on at the moment.
Dubesque goes against the tide and the current trend in the music world. If you listen to his stuff you’ll notice the “slippery slope” of his music: The combination of underground housemusic combined with a bit of mass appeal, big room compatible without loosing credibility on the way. Thats not only hard to achieve, but in this case better realized than we ever heard. Especially in times of EDM, Electrohouse and missing originality due to the “hype” of just making Bootlegs and covering classics for an disputable EDM-use.
Supported by the likes of Michael Gray, Hardsoul, Blaze, Ultra Nate, Miguel Migs, Richard Earnshaw, Warren Clarke, Boddhi Satva, DJ Spen, DJ Spinna, Rainer Trüby, Atjazz, DJ Roog or Peter Gelderblom (just to name a few), upcoming releases on “Strictly Rhythm” and “Kizz Kizz Records” (latter is a new found label by two of Germanys hottest Producers) as well as his musical homebase “Pratersauna” in Vienna (#2 in the “De:Bug Best Club Poll” 2012 right after Berghain Berlin), Dubesque is definitely a new rising and promising house-producer and DJ, who against all odds defends real housemusic without forgetting about the mass appeal – Dubesque is one of the newcomers to watch in 2013, thats for sure!
