Welcome to the brand new Brandnite TV Episode with tech-house hedonists Pleasurekraft aka Kaveh & Kalle´s Baby. We met Kaveh for a ´small talk´ about all that house music stuff.
In the Interview & Event Recap you will hear, how the collaboration between Kaveh, living in Washington, & Kalle´s Baby, living in Sweden has started & how was it possible to create four tracks without even seeing each other. Kaveh from Pleasurekraft is also talking about their break-through track ´Tarantula`, as also the following successful track ´Carny´ & why he doesn´t play it during the live performance anymore and why he regrets to have it released under Pleasurekraft. He also reveals us his favorite club in Vienna & speaks about the experience in the Austrian Capital. Another interesting thing, he told us, is his & UMEK´s opinion about the EDM short-term. Kaveh also talks about the influence & dependence upon technology. As the example is the german Producer/Dj Zedd being mentioned, because he cancelled his gig due to laptop problems.

CeCe Rogers is a legend! One of the artists who helped establish House music. With other artists like Marshall Jefferson, Ten City, Joe Smooth,Frankie Knuckles, Robert Owens just to mention a few. For more than 20 years CeCe, who personally received his name by the Godfather of soul James Brown himself, was showing his outstanding talent as a vocalist, songwriter and musician on stage all over the world.
As well as a recording artist, CeCe delivered anthems like “No Love Lost”,”Someday” and “All Join Hands” which belong to the biggest songs ever released in the genre of House music. New York City based, CeCe has worked either on stage or in the studio with Luther Vandross, Janet Jackson, Whitney Hosuton, Sounds of Blackness, Aretha Franklin, Duran Duran, and he was the frontman of the legendary band Jestofunk who brought us anthems like ”Say It Again” and “Can We Live”.

SYKE’N’SUGARSTARR, consisting of DJ SUGARSTARR and the producer-head-honcho SESA, are somewhat of an enigma. Finely balanced between cool Housemusic and absolutely rocking remixes, pushing back the boundaries on their own label, whilst becoming in demand house-producers for several major projects since the late nineties. The result have been smashing club-hits such as “Ticket 2 Ride”, “Are You Watching Me” or “Danz”. And even more releases on labels like Ministry Of Sound, Positiva, Universal, Subliminal, Southern Fried, etc.
Their recent singles “U Got Me Rockin’”, “I Believe”, “Like That Sound”, “So Alive” and “My Belief” have been collected several #1 positions in many international Dance-Charts. Especially “No Satisfaction” mutated to a monster of an smashing anthem. Syke’n’Sugarstarr have been the first ever DJ-Artists who got the official permission from the Rolling Stones’ label to lay hands on this masterpiece of the music history.
One of the biggest coups out of their studios is a stunning team-up with the legendary CeCe Rogers, to re-present “No Love Lost” all over again. This tune has become a worldwide hymn getting on heavy rotation on the radio and in the clubs. The most appealing aspect of Syke’n’Sugarstarr is just how fresh they sound, both in their productions and the DJ’ing, which, as anyone who has seen DJ SUGARSTARR on the decks will know, is as diverse and experimental as their studio work. While SESA’s finishing off the latest productions in the studio, SUGARSTARR has been touring massively for the last ten years. He do club-gigs and festivals all over the globe. From Sao Paulo to Sydney. From Bogota to Moscow. From Miami back to Europe.
