Ibiza Calling presents People of the Night at Space, Ibiza 19th June – 4th September

This Wednesday Size stalwarts and internationally renowned duo AN21 & Max Vangeli will launch their bi-weekly summer residency at Space, Ibiza. Named after their debut album of the same name, the night will see them playing alongside a series of special guests throughout the season.
Taking the helm for the new fortnightly event, the duo will be bringing the same fresh blend of emotive and anthemic house that runs through their productions and has propelled them to the top heights of dance music. For the opening they will be kicking off in fine style, joined by label mates Third Party, Camilo Franco, Danny Marquez and Ramon Castells, while guests across the season will include Size alumni Arno Cost, Moguai, Norman Doray and Sebjak as well as plenty more.
Brothers in arms AN21 and Max have quickly established themselves as rising stars of the EDM world. Hotly tipped in the early stages of their career, they have substantiated the hype with releases both as individuals and as a duo. They have released music on Size and Refune and they’ve remixed the likes of Ellie Goulding, Pendulum and Gorillaz, culminating in the release of their debut album ‘People Of the Night’ last year. With the release of the stunning album in September of last year, the long-time friends and collaborators cemented their positions as leaders in their field. As DJs they’ve played at all the world’s finest clubs and international festivals while also presenting one of 2011’s finest Essential Mixes for Radio 1.

The first half of 2013 has been busy for Swedish DJ & producer Alesso, to say the least. With tours of India, South America and North America all already under his belt this year, as well as two sold out Easter Weekend shows in the UK and a momentous performance at this year’s Ultra Festival in Miami, his feet have barely had time to touch the ground. This is not to forget his time spent in the studio either, with the recent release of his remix of OneRepublic’s ‘If I Lose Myself’ quickly racking up millions of plays, hitting the No.1 spot on Beatport and soundtracking countless moments of club euphoria. (Buy on Beatport)
Now with the summer season upon us, he is about to embark on a three-month long run of shows that will take him from his native Sweden to New York and just about everywhere in between. As well as joining Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso for a number of performances at their Departures residency at Ushuaia, Ibiza, Alesso will be playing a series of festival dates including the first ever Balaton, EDC London, Tomorrowland, Sudoeste, Creamfields and a final date at Electric Zoo in New York, plus more shows to be announced.
Still in the early years of his career, Alesso has proven himself to be a matchless talent and one of dance music’s most exciting prospects in 2013. He has steadily amassed a string of anthemic club and chart hits that already boasts the likes of ‘Calling’, ‘Raise Your Head’, ‘Years’ and ‘Clash’ alongside remixes for Swedish House Mafia, Keane and David Guetta amongst others, with Radio 1 tastemaker Zane Lowe naming ‘Calling (Losing My Mind)’ his ‘Hottest Record of the Year’ in 2012. Add to this a peerless DJ reputation for wowing crowds across the world, and the summer ahead looks like it is going to be an extremely exciting one for Alesso.

FIVE YEARS BEATPATROL FESTIVAL
It’s a small anniversary the Beatpatrol Festival powered by Raiffeisen Club is celebrating from 31 May to 2 June at VAZ Sankt Poelten, AUSTRIA this year: For five years, the Electronic Music Festival has already taken place in St. Pölten and has made itself to one of the first addresses within the European Festival Circus during that time.

What has happened so far: From A … like Aoki to X … like Xkore
For the first time, Justice is honouring the festival with his DJ-Set. Steve Aoki is stopping by as well as the Dutch Hardwell. Boys Noize is performing a live-show in St. Pölten for the first time and Joachim Garrauds 3D-Invasion also has its premiere in Austria. Moreover, Klangkarussell, DJ FRESH, Gesaffelstein (live), Brodinski, Datsujm Dirtyphonics live or XKore have confirmed their coming. A particular coup could be landed by hosting the RAM Stage. Mastermind Andy C himself is rocking the turntables, as well as Goldie, Calyx & Tebee and many more.
NEW: Swedish Bomber, Swisse Golden Boy, DIM MAK & Co.
Although the Swedish House Mafia has recently announced their break-up, the Beatpatrol Festival presents one of the three wonder boys: Steve Angello! With singles like “Woz Not Woz” or “Tell me Why” he created mega club hits. Furthermore the great DJ Antoine from Switzerland will be performing at Beatpatrol. His brand new album “Sky Is The Limit” has immediately taken in rank 2 of the album charts in Austria! At the Size Matters Stage, Swanky Tunes are rocking the crowd as well as Firebeatz. As in the years before, DIM MAK, the cult label of Steve Aoki, is going to host its own stage. This year, Autoerotique, South Central, Proxy or Deorro among others are going to rock the DIM MAK STAGE. A further obligatory part of the Beatpatrol Festival is the Samsara Stage, where the Psytrance Community will have their proper place. Among others, the one and only SKAZI or also Klopfgeister are performing! Also the Beatpatrol landed a particular hit by making UKF host a Drum’n’Bass/Dubstep Stage. On their stage the turntables are being played among others by DJ Fresh, Xkore, Watch The Duck!

MASTERS OF DIRT – FUEL GIRLS
Beatpatrol Festival is very proud that first time the World’s Most Extreme Freestyle Motocross show, Masters Of Dirt, is part of the Festival with an extraordinary showcase. MOD incorporates the biggest freestyle motocross riders performing their latest tricks along with the best bmx, mtb, quad and snowmobile riders for an action packed arena show. Of course the great Fuel Girls must not to be missed! Their shows are wild, high energy und very, very hot! On turntables DJ Mosaken is “working”!

You can´t get enough of Tomorrowland?
We have good news for you – ´Tomorrowland` in collaboration with Titan Comics is creating its own ´fairytale` – the comic book series that will be released the end of the year 2013 (December 18). The comics series with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike as main Characters, are written by Eisner Award-winning writer Paul Jenkins (Spider-Man, Darkness, Sentry, Inhumans, Wolverine: Origin, Batman) and illustrated by art team Stellar Labs (Hulk, Superman, Power Girl, Cyber-Force, Heavy Metal). The Story is about two young stars who have become the public face of the Tomorrowland festival as they are drawn into an impossible adventure to save the vital spark of creativity from the forces that would destroy it! Dimitri and Mike, two Belgian brothers, have been closely associated to the festival for the past few years and were the obvious choice to lead the way in this new Tomorrowland adventure.
There are two worlds – the world we see, and the one we sense. The world we see is a harsh place: divided by wars and political extremism, religious fundamentalism and avarice. The world we sense hides in plain sight: you can see it in your peripheral vision, moving, vibrant. It’s a world of feeling, where art, music and science intertwine, where the written word is a powerful tool of creation.
In these two worlds, we each carry two avatars – one embodying destruction, one connected to creation. This is the way of the universe. But creation and destruction wage an eternal war for the energy we carry inside us. It’s a war that we are rapidly losing…
Whether you’re an attendee dug in deep at the Festival itself – where the events of the story will play out in the real world! – or a music-loving civilian kicking back listening to your favorite tracks at home, the Tomorrowland comic is a breathless explosion of color, adventure, and the importance of unbridled creativity in a world growing stale!

The International Music Summit has become a call to arms for electronic music lovers around the world. With the 3-day summit hosting some of the very best parties and line-ups the island has seen, these spectacular events now represent the unofficial opening of the Ibiza season. So, it is with great pleasure the IMS can announce the line up for the Grande Finale 2013 at the infamous Dalt Vila.

Combining one of the most beautiful settings with some of the biggest and most respected acts of 2013, the Grand Finale at the Dalt Vila is a truly unique experience. You can two-step to the beats in the heart of Ibiza town, whilst looking out over spectacular views of the Balearic Sea. This is the only time in the year the UNESCO heritage site, which boasts an unparalleled setting on the isle, is home to a contemporary music event.
Headlining the Grand Finale will be the legendary Sven Väth, the artist whose Cocoon event laid the foundation for underground music in Ibiza. This will be your chance to witness a rare performance of Sven Väth outside of his Cocoon residency, and we’re sure it’s going to be one of the most memorable performances of the year.
The Grand Finale has set a precedent over the years for showcasing live acts and this year is no different with Tensnake, whose live performances have delighted festival-goers around the world. Responsible for one of the biggest dance anthems of all time ‘Coma Cat’, a true Balearic record loved by the likes of The Guardian & NME and frequenting Radio 1 playlists, Tensnake’s infectious nu-disco sounds make him a real festival darling. Joining Tensnake will be up and coming band Le Carousel, the new band project from acclaimed Belfast DJ/ Producer, Phil Kieran.
The past 18 months has seen the meteoric rise of Maya Jane Coles, to one of the most highly sought after DJ and producers. Having performed in over 30 countries, with multiple awards, and millions of views across YouTube and Soundcloud, Maya is currently working on her debut album, which is set for release later this year.
Mixmag’s “DJ of the year”, Solomun has been laying his deep grooves and impeccable song selection at venues around the globe. With an arsenal of killer tracks on the most celebrated labels of the underground scene, a Watergate compilation, plus his Diynamic label nights in Berlin, London, South America, Amsterdam as well as his highly regarded residency in Ibiza, it’s no wonder Solomun has been the biggest breakthrough DJ of 2012.
Ben Turner, one of the five IMS partners along with BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, states: “Friday at Dalt Vila has become one of the highlights of the Ibiza season, and we are delighted with this year’s line-up. Its hard to top Carl Cox and Loco Dice from last year, but we have two of Ibiza’s hottest names of the moment in Solomun and Maya Jane Coles, but also the man who created the foundation for underground music in Ibiza – Sven Vath. Without his pioneering work with Cocoon, this huge underground movement, which now rules Ibiza, would never have happened. So time to celebrate this moment.”
Rounding off this already impressive line up is Scuba, whose album ‘Personality’ was big, brash and one of 2012′s most talked about albums. His roots are in the London Dubstep scene, but he keeps one foot firmly in the Techno metropolis of Berlin. His DJ Kicks mix shows this is one DJ who cannot be pigeonholed… Bass heavy, stripped back and full of atmosphere.
FATBOY SLIM TO BE HONOURED AT INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SUMMIT
FREE PARTY HOSTED BY FATBOY SLIM AT UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
DALT VILA WITH PETE TONG, DRIIS (IDRIS ELBA) & MANY MORE…
Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook is to be honoured at The IMS Legends Dinner at the sixth International Music Summit in Ibiza. The DJ and producer, who recently announced he is to be the first DJ to ever perform at The House of Commons, will have his long-standing career celebrated at an intimate dinner party put on by the IMS. He will then go on to host an exclusive free party at the UNESCO world heritage site Dalt Vila – Fatboy Slim & Friends – with pals Pete Tong and DJ Driis (Idris Elba) on May 23rd.
On news of receiving this award, Norman said, “It’s a huge honour to follow Carl Cox and Pete Tong and be the third recipient of the IMS LEGENDS AWARD. Despite the award title, I am still very much alive and kicking! Ibiza has been a pivotal part in my life and my career and so there is nowhere better than there to receive it. I am looking forward to an evening of looking back but mostly looking forward as I’ll also be performing at the fort of the Dalt Vila World Heritage Site for IMS. Ibiza is known for its highs, but this will be the highest location I’ve ever played from on the island! Expect the summer to start with a smile!“
Fatboy Slim & Friends will see Norman play host to an incredible line up, which includes Pete Tong (co-founder of the IMS), along with DJ Driis (Idris Elba – The Wire / Luther) who since his recent documentary on Channel 4 – How Clubbing Changed the World, has been concentrating on his DJ career with a residency called Love & Liquor in West London. Other artists to appear on the night include Hot Since 82, Kaz James, and Tom Staar. The event is free, with the first 500 people to buy a ticket on the IMS website for the IMS Grand Finale on Friday 24th May receiving an automatic invite to Thursday night’s party.

In the 6 years since the IMS was born, the summit has become the principal forum for those in the business of electronica to understand and shape the future of their genre – whilst the weekender that surrounds it has showcased some of the most memorable names in rare and unique performances. The IMS now plays host to the pivotal weekender in your summer dance music diary, with 2 events at the Dalt Vila and many other special events happening on the island. Tickets are now available to the public – and having sold out rapidly last year, get in there early as more must-see back-to-back acts are announced. This is just the beginning.
See You there soon!

One of the newest additions to Wynn in Las Vegas resident DJ roster, the legendary Eric Prydz will introduce a more subdued nightlife party to the Strip, with his seductive Black Dice 2013 residency. His upcoming shows at both XS and Surrender will highlight “elements of darkness,” minimizing over-the-top LED lights, lasers and stage projections. Adding to the minimal atmosphere of Prydz’ show will be the servers, who will don black lingerie.
As he points out in his preview video (below), “Vegas has always been known for that glamour and gold… we want to change things around a bit, darken things up, and strip things down.”
Check out what Black Dice is all about, in Eric’s own words, in the preview video courtesy of EricPrydzTV. See his 2013 debut show at Surrender { Purchase Tickets }

Rosenball – 2013 – Hello, Butterflies!
Vienna is the Capital of the biggest and the most exclusive balls in Europe, such as Opernball (The Opera Ball), Lifeball (The Life Ball), Rosenball and many others.
Two of them – The Opera & Rosenball open their Gates on the same day – the 7th of February for its special Guests with brilliant Costumes & Ballgowns. This date for the Rosenball has been chosen not accidentally: the both Events – Heaven (the popular Gays´ Event & the primary small Rosenball Version) & Opera Ball were traditionally happining on the same Thursday, so they thought it would be time for a Metamorphosis in this deep-rooted Austria´s Ball Culture to occur.
A Caterpiller becomes a beautiful Butterfly
The Rosenball is being titled by mistake as a parody or even as a counter-event that actually from the beginning was considered to be the Manifest for the unconfined Life´s Joy that breaks all the imaginable conventions. However, the Rosenball is not a winking Hommage on the left turning Austria´s dance floor, but first of all, an important Statement of the Society, which the Organizer of Heaven & Roses Ball – Holger Thor hasn´t forgotten up to today.
This Ball is the one & only absolutely prejudgment-free and affectionate coming together, which guests couldn´t be more differently! Once in the year they have an opportunity to melt in this joyful and peaceful Public´s Melange…
The Butterfly has moved to Palais Auersperg
In the early Years the Phenomenon was being celebrated in the small, but cozy circle of people and as it became bigger and maturely, it moved into a new Location – the spacious Palais Auersperg.
It´s time for a huge Society Event to happen! Take Your Wings and fly to the Rosenball!
