Martin Solveig and Friends launches its first ever residency in Ibiza at Pacha on Sat 6th July

Martin Solveig is proud to announce his summer residency for Ibiza 2013. The internationally revered producer will be bringing his inaugural ‘Martin Solveig and Friends’ night to Pacha, regarded as one of the most famous, original and glamorous clubs in the world. Think floor pounding main room beats, peerless production, beautiful performers and the most electric atmosphere you will find anywhere on the planet.
Here Martin has personally invited some of his most respected dance music contemporaries to join him for a series of special dates through July until September. He will be joined over the coming weeks by a superb selection of DJ talent including Dutch dance music royalty Laidback Luke, Sidney Samson and BassJackers as well as the ultimate house legends Cassius and Armand van Helden.

It’s the track over 75 million of you around the world have already heard. ‘MORE’, the almighty collaboration between electronic heavyweights Laidback Luke and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, first dropped as part of the official soundtrack to the Tomorrowland After-Movie on YouTube and was immediately seized upon as a fan favourite. Dropped live at this year’s Ultra Music Festival – when Dimitri and Mike joined Luke on stage for an impromptu appearance during his acclaimed set – music lovers everywhere have been desperately calling on the trio to release this peak-time destroyer as soon as possible.
Now the cat has finally been let out of the bag, and ‘MORE’ will be released on Laidback Luke’s own Mixmash Records on Monday 1st July 2013. With its big melodies, rabble-rousing chants and thunderous drums, this is destined to take the festival season in its grasp!

✪ Alesso Summer Tour Dates 2013
The first half of 2013 has been busy for Swedish DJ & producer Alesso, to say the least. With tours of India, South America and North America all already under his belt this year, as well as two sold out Easter Weekend shows in the UK and a momentous performance at this year’s Ultra Festival in Miami, his feet have barely had time to touch the ground. This is not to forget his time spent in the studio either, with the recent release of his remix of OneRepublic’s ‘If I Lose Myself’ quickly racking up millions of plays, hitting the No.1 spot on Beatport and soundtracking countless moments of club euphoria. Now with the summer season upon us, he is about to embark on a three-month long run of shows that will take him from his native Sweden to New York and just about everywhere in between. As well as joining Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso for a number of performances at their Departures residency at Ushuaia, Ibiza, Alesso will be playing a series of festival dates including the first ever Balaton, EDC London, Tomorrowland, Sudoeste, Creamfields and a final date at Electric Zoo in New York, plus more shows to be announced.
Still in the early years of his career, Alesso has proven himself to be a matchless talent and one of dance music’s most exciting prospects in 2013. ✪ Avicii ‘Wake Me Up!’ (PRMD / Island Def Jam) | Release UK: 8th September | R.O.W: 17th June
This summer Avicii is set to release new single ‘Wake Me Up!’, the first track to be taken from his hotly anticipated forthcoming album, which is due before the end of the year. The single and album will be released by PRMD and Island Def Jam and distributed via PRMD (pronounced Pyramid), the newly established label that is also home to Cazzette and Henrik B.
Never one to shy away from controversy, the young producer first premiered the new single amidst a selection of material from the album alongside a live band during his set on the main stage at this year’s Ultra Music Festival Miami. Making a bold statement by introducing live instrumentation to one of the biggest dates in the electronic music calendar, this move embodies the spirit of Avicii’s new material, showcasing the endless possibilities of electronic dance music and how brilliantly they can be harnessed.
Retaining the hallmarks of Avicii’s production in its driving beat, rousing arrangements and emotive melodies, the scuffed guitar riff adds layers to the rhythm section of ‘Wake Me Up!’ while the stirring lead synth riff is complimented by the rich vocals and storytelling lyrics.
The new single is the next evolution in a whirlwind few years for Avicii that have seen him ascend the ranks of dance music at a startling rate and comes off the back of his first official UK chart number 1 single on ‘I Could Be The One’ with Nicky Romero. Never afraid to take on new challenges, he also recently scored the theme music for this year’s Eurovision song contest alongside Bjorn and Benny from ABBA, which was held in Malmo in his native Sweden.
Used to a hectic schedule, this summer looks busy even by Avicii’s standards. Alongside his residency at Ushuaia, Ibiza throughout the season, he will be playing headline slots at the first EDC London and Creamfields in the UK, as well as hosting leading tastemaker Pete Tong’s Radio 1 takeover on 5th July.
