‘Hey Brother’ is a perfect example of the brave fusion of sounds on ‘True’ and a natural choice as a single, blending acoustic and electronic elements into a rousing and emotive crossover anthem. The poignant video, directed by Jesse Sternbaum based on an idea from Marcus Lindgren and Ash Pournouri of At Night Studios, layers the stirring sentiment of the track with a touching narrative, setting the relationship of two brothers against a backdrop of war as the vehicle for conveying fragile notions of family, love and loss.

Hot new up and coming DJ/Producer Ashley Wallbridge from Stoke On Trent, UK, has been making some serious waves in the House music scene this year and is geared up to release a fresh single, ‘Africa‘, coming out on Avicii‘s Le7els on the 8th of October.
Ashley is amongst a small handful of young UK producers that have rightfully earned their reputation through their production skills and creative flair. Having worked with Gareth Emery and Armin Van Buuren, Ashley has built up a huge amount of support across the globe with his previous release on Le7els, ‘Crush‘, which got into the Top 10 of Beatport’s Progressive House chart, as well as an album ‘Inner Me‘ [Armada] that reached #5 on the iTunes US chart.
‘Africa‘ shows Ashley’s production skills developed into a universally appreciated EDM sound that fits in perfectly with Le7els’ roster. Ashley utilises his dance background to create uplifting high energy anthemic electronic music. The track has a grinding electronic bass, clubland synths and efficient big room build-ups and drops.
Ashley Wallbridge played at the prestigious Ministry Of Sound in London, Global Gathering Festival & The Arches in Glasgow. Continuing to push musical boundaries with his highly anticipated releases on the world’s hottest labels, Ashley is now set for a tour around India and Malaysia later this year.

Two-time Grammy nominated 23-year-old Swedish DJ/producer Avicii has already made a profound impact with the news of his much-anticipated debut album ‘True’. The first single ‘Wake Me Up!’ has instantly taken the world by storm, and when we say world we mean it: it has been No.1 in 70 territories to date, going platinum in 15 of those (including 5x in Norway, 4x in Australia, 3x in Sweden and 2x in Canada and Ireland) and gold in USA, Mexico and South Africa.
Already crowned the fastest-selling single of 2013 in the UK, holding the No.1 spot for 3 weeks and selling over 4 million copies worldwide, it has continued to dominate the airwaves and global charts since it was first unveiled. This huge success has been quickly followed by that of the forthcoming second single, ‘You Make Me’, since its recent premiere on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show it has instantly been added to The BBC Radio 1 playlist, way upfront of release, plus Capital Radio in the UK and is the #1 most added single to radio in Australia.
Avicii although still very young has had a steady ascension as an artist, best known for his explosive stadium sized DJ sets and close rapport with his fans, he juggles many facets of his career. He has recently been picked up as the current face of Ralph Lauren’s Denim + Supply, as well as helping to write the 2013 Swedish Eurovision song entry with ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. On top of that he manages a punishing world touring schedule from Miami to Ibiza and back again. He first attracted a whirlwind of attention with his early release ‘Bromance’ which went top 20 in many countries. His big break came with the release of ‘LE7ELS’ sampling the sublime Etta James, which quickly exploded out of the underground and has gone on to sell over four million copies and amassed 140 million video views worldwide. Later enjoying his debut UK No.1 alongside fellow wunderkind DJ Nicky Romero with ‘I Could Be The One’. He has now taken that blend of driving dance rhythms, inventive pop sensibilities and melodic magic and has applied it to his stunning debut album.
Listen out for the soulful folk vocals on first single ‘Wake Me Up!’, legendary riffs from one of the world’s best known funk guitarists on ‘Lay Me Down’, and the inimitable touch of a 71-year-old songwriter who has previously written hits for Elvis Presley on ‘Addicted To You’, amongst others. Each collaborator brings new shades to Avicii’s productions, contributing experience and undeniable credentials to the album to stunning overall effect.
The collection of 10 totally original and fresh tracks on ‘True’ illustrates Avicii’s ability to ignore the rules, not afraid to take risks, constantly challenging both himself and his fans while progressing his craft. This totally personal and unique approach is one that is embodied in the album and has reflected well with his army of fans, of whom he is performed to over 25 million globally already.
The album is released on PRMD records (pronounced pyramid), a newly established and influential dance label from Scandinavia that represents new and emerging talent from the region and beyond.

Avicii announces second single from debut album ‘True’
‘You Make Me’ to be released 15th September in the UK
Official video out 16th September
23 year old Swedish DJ and producer Avicii is already enjoying the perfect start to his much-anticipated album release ‘True’. With an outstanding track record already, ´Wake Me Up!´ has taken the world instantly by surprise. Already crowned the fastest selling single of 2013 in the UK, it has dominated the airwaves, the Internet and global charts since it first premiered. Here on home soil it held the official UK No.1 spot for three consecutive weeks, to date it has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Globally it has and peaked at No.1 in 69 territories, with sales continuing to mount, the single has gone multi-Platinum in Norway, Sweden and Australia – as well as Platinum here in the UK and across the rest of Europe.
Avicii now announces full details of his new single. ‘You Make Me’ the second single that will be released on 30th August – 15th September in the UK – on PRMD / Positiva. The official video for the single is set to drop on 16th September.
Giving a further insight into the album and showcasing a different facet to Avicii’s many-stringed bow, ‘You Make Me’ is a bold and bright alternative anthem. Underpinned by a driving electronic beat, rich piano melodies and tuned percussion collide with swooning synths and quirky vocals to create another utterly unique and immediately memorable track from the prodigious producer.
The new album ‘True’ is Avicii’s biggest creative statement yet, following what has been a whirlwind few years for the producer. The success of early singles such as ‘LE7ELS’, which sold over 4 million copies and earned Avicii a Swedish Grammy for ‘Song of the Year’, and his first official UK chart No.1, ‘I Could Be The One’ with Nicky Romero, has laid the groundwork for the release of ‘True’.
Avicii continues to eschew traditional paths in order to push the envelope and challenge himself with every new move he makes, a personal and unique approach which is embodied in the album, which will be revealed when it drops on 16th September.

It’s time for the True reveal
Following the huge no.1 success of ‘Wake Me Up!’, which has just scored a third week as official UK No.1, Avicii is set to release debut album ‘True’ on 16th September. Never one to do things by the book, he will be giving fans the opportunity to help reveal the artwork for the eagerly anticipated album along with the next single in unique fashion.
Here is how it will happen: Two giant speakers will be set up at an industrial location in his home town of Stockholm, surrounding a big, black glass pane; the cover art is hidden behind the opaque glass and it is the fans’ mission to break it. In order to do so, fans have to reveal a secret – a true story about themselves – using the hashtag #truereveal on Twitter. For each tweet the volume will be raised incrementally. The new track will be unlocked layer by layer, starting with the bass line and adding instruments as the tweets raise the volume, until the glass pane shatters and the track is played in whole to the public, and the artwork finally revealed.
Fans will be able to interact throughout the process via the True Reveal site, tweeting and monitoring the process via a live stream while they contribute to pumping up the volume. Tweets will be projected on the glass screen to show that everything is happening in real time.
This inventive approach is indicative of the ways in which Avicii continues to eschew traditional paths in order to push the envelope and challenge himself with every new move he makes. This personal and unprecedented approach is embodied in the album, which will be revealed when ‘True’ drops on 16th September. ‘True’ is available for pre-order on iTunes now
‘True’ is due to be released by PRMD / Positiva on 16th September 2013.
Having already been crowned the fastest selling single of 2013, ‘Wake Me Up!’ continues to dominate both the airwaves and the charts. Holding off One Direction’s new single ‘Best Song Ever’ to keep the No.1 spot in the UK charts for the second week in a row on Sunday, ‘Wake Me Up!’ has gone gold in the UK in just two weeks, the first single this year to do so with over 420,000 singles sold.
This success coincides with the unveiling of the stunning official video for the single today, which is directed by revered American photographer Mark Seliger, who has shot everyone from The Rolling Stones to Kurt Cobain and covers for the likes of GQ and Vanity Fair, and produced by At Night Studios. Echoing the poignant sentiment of the track and featuring beautifully panoramic cinematography, the video follows two young sisters who are outcasts in their own town in search of somewhere they truly belong. Connecting the narrative with live footage of Avicii performing at Ultra Music Festival, where he first premiered the single, the video embodies both the infectious energy and the emotive lyricism of the track.
Titled ‘True’, Avicii’s debut album is set to be released by PRMD and Positiva on 16th September and is available to pre-order now. A selection of material from the forthcoming record was first premiered alongside a live band during Avicii’s performance at this year’s Ultra Music festival Miami, a move that indicates the artist’s personal and unprecedented approach to the format. Giving an insight into what people can expect from the album when it drops, Avicii says:
“This is about me being true to my sound but also to my own influences and musical preferences. This album consists 100% of songs I personally love. It’s true to me, true to my brand, true to Avicii.”
The new single and album are the next evolution in a whirlwind few years for Avicii that have seen him ascend the ranks of dance music at a startling rate. His single ‘LE7ELS’, released in 2011, became a worldwide hit with over 4 million singles sold and earned the producer a Swedish Grammy for ‘Song of the Year’. Since then Avicii has delivered a series of hit singles including ‘Sunshine’, ‘Silhouettes’ and his first official UK chart number 1, ‘I Could Be the One’ with Nicky Romero. ‘True’ is due to be released by PRMD / Positiva on 16th September 2013. Norman Doray, the prolific French DJ & producer, brings his inimitable style to Avicii’s highly acclaimed label, ‘Le7els’. Due for release this July, the highly anticipated new single ‘Filtré’ showcases a different side to Doray’s productions as he delivers a fresh funk-inspired house record.
“It’s a real different track from what I usually do”, said Norman. ”It was more of a side track that I did for me to listen to as I love French house […]. But I thought it would be interesting to put this record out and see how the new “EDM” generation would react.“
Taking heavy influences from Daft Punk and Crydamoure Records, Doray diverts away from the big room sound’s traditional pathways, veeing toward a tech-inflected groove. Focusing on instrumentation, ‘Filtré’ is a mix of energised beats, horn samples, and the glowing undertone of bass. Norman’s first record on the illustrious Le7els imprint and the affiliation between these two substantial artists is set to send shockwaves around the world of dance music.
Having successfully ridden the worldwide explosion of global EDM, Norman Doray sites his main influences as his French roots: disco, French House, and French Touch purveyors Daft Punk. He soon became an active part of Size’s roster after a few persuasive remodels for the likes of David Guetta, Skrillex and Toni Braxton. Norman is playing all around the world, having a residency at XS in Las Vegas and playing festival such as Creamfields, Tomorrowland, Beyond Wonderland, and Sunburn, to name a few.
